Toddlers – Elmo Express

Our toddler program provides care and early childhood education for children ages 18 months to 3 years. Toddlers at Play and Learn experience their world through exploration and engage in carefully planned hands-on learning activities designed to develop communication skills, large and fine motor skills, coordination, confidence, and socialization. Throughout the day our nurturing and professional teachers provide toddlers opportunities for playing, singing, dancing, and participating in creative art, sensory activities, and story times. The toddler staff is happy to assist you with your child throughout the toilet training stage when you feel your child is ready. We keep parents informed with Daily Reports which detail the activities of each child’s day. A daily schedule, weekly lesson plan, and monthly calendar are posted on the toddler room parent board.

9:00 –10:00 Breakfast clean up, diapers and potty, and table top activities
10:00 –10:45 Large muscle play (indoors or outdoors)
10:45 –11:00 Circle time
11:00 –11:20 Art, sensory, and group activities
11:20 –11:30 Music movement
11:30 –12:00 Lunch
P.M.
12:00 – 12:30 Lunch clean up, diapers and potty, and circle time
12:30 – 1:00 Video, stories, prepare for nap
1:00 – 3:00 Nap/quiet time
3:00 – 3:30 Wake up, diapers and potty, and songs
3:30 – 4:00 Snack
4:00 – 4:45 Large muscle play (indoors or outdoors)
4:45 – 5:00 Group story time
5:00 – 5:30 Free play
5:30 – 5:40 Clean up
5:40 – 6:00 Table top activities and departure
