Older Preschool – Cookie Monsters

Our preschool program provides care and early childhood education for children ages 3 ½ years to 4 ½ years. At Play & Learn preschoolers explore a weekly theme and participate in a hands-on program that encourages growth and development in all areas: physical, social/emotional, and cognitive. Preschoolers can independently choose from a variety of developmentally appropriate learning centers. Classroom activities are designed to encourage and build positive social interactions, sharing, and taking turns; problem solving; language development; creativity; and self-esteem. Preschoolers learn letters and sounds, colors and shapes, and number concepts. Parents/Guardians are kept informed of their child’s progress with Progress Reports and periodic parent conferences. A daily schedule, weekly lesson plan, and monthly calendar are posted on the Cookie Monsters’ parent board.
